First Year Students

Housing Info Session
Format: Town Hall
Representatives of Residence Life and First Year Experience Department provide information for housing regulations, rules and how to keep your students safe.

Non-Residential Family Info Session
Format: Town Hall
Families are welcome to attend this session to learn about resources that their students can utilize to connect socially throughout the Fall semester.

Student Business Services and Financial Aid Info Session
Format: Town Hall
Student Business Services and Office of Financial Aid will provide information regarding billing, loans and scholarships. This content is available for both families and students to view.

Making the Transition
This session is for First Year Families

Join Dr. Jerry Price, Vice President and Dean of Students; Marcela Mejia-Martinez, Assistant Vice President of Admission; and Dr. DeAnn Yocum Gaffney, Associate Vice President and Senior Associate Dean of Students, who will introduce the incoming classes to the student and campus services that address and promote student safety, health and well-being.

Academic Life at Chapman
Format: Town Hall
During this session, you will learn about the key student services that will help promote your student’s academic success at Chapman.  Dr. Nina LeNoir, Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education, and representatives from the Academic Advising Center, Tutoring, Learning and Testing Center, Leatherby Libraries, Center for Global Education, Career and Professional Development, and the Center for Undergraduate Excellence will share information about their available resources.

Parent Student Panel
Format: Town Hall
Tune in to join current Chapman students and parents to discuss how families can support their new Panther.  Learn about the important role that families play in the college experience, discuss what it means to be involved in the Chapman community and, most importantly, get all of your questions answered.

Fraternity and Sorority Life Info Session
Format: Town Hall
Come and learn about the Chapman Fraternity and Sorority community. Hear from current fraternity and sorority students and staff about the membership experience, programs and events, and the benefits of this involvement opportunity.

FEAP Info Session

Dr. Laura Cook, Director of the Freshman Early Assurance Program, will facilitate an information session for new families to learn more about the program and how you play a role in the success of your student.

This session is for Transfer Families
Format: Town Hall
Join Dr. DeAnn Yocum Gaffney, Associate Vice President and Senior Associate Dean of Students, to introduce the transfer incoming class to the student and campus services that address and promote student safety, health and well-being. This session is specific for transfer families.
