Graduate Assistant, First Year Experience: Frances Isler

Hello! My name is Frances Isler (he/him), and I am the current Graduate Assistant for First Year Experience. My responsibilities include assisting with the implementation of various early transition and first-year programs, collaborating with departments to ensure the success of Orientation, and mentoring the Orientation Coordinators. I received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2024, and I am excited to begin the dual MA in English and MFA in Creative Writing Program here at Chapman this upcoming Fall 2025. At UCSB, I was an Arnhold Undergraduate Fellow, a member of the Transfer Honors Society Tau Sigma, and I served as an Assistant Editor for The Catalyst, the student-led literary arts journal on campus. In my free time, I enjoy baking, playing Stardew Valley, working out, and tending to my garden and dogs back home in Sacramento, CA.
