Freshman: don’t try to cram all GE’s as early as possible (after 2nd semester fresh. year) bc music school will ramp up quickly hitting sophomore year.
Sign up for tutors early in the semester (like for Theory I/2)
In terms of units for courses try not to have more than 3 semesters above 19/20 units (pre-ensemble audit forms) if possible.
Declare a cluster/minor early and something that you can connect to music or your own creativity/interest. (Consider interdisciplinary applications).
Take advantage of getting GE’s done during Interterm! Or nowadays the unconventional summer terms since everything is online anyway.
